Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Anderson.
Gregory, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I would like to thank Boston Voyager for the opportunity to share a little information about myself. I started out as a rental agent for 3A Apartments in the Quincy area (thank you Bob Birch). Bob was my broker/mentor at the time, he is very special to me and we are still good friends. It was a small office and we mainly focused on leasing, not many sales. This worked out for me as I wanted the opportunity to have a flexible schedule while I was attending UMASS Boston, I was working on a double master’s program (MBA and MSF) at the time and this allowed the opportunity to make my own schedule and devote a lot of time to school and studying. I did not know much about real estate, I had an idea but not comparable to the day to day transactions. I learned about many aspects of real estate including different types of properties, components of leasing and the overall importance of real estate, everything around us is real estate, if properly managed, it is one of the greatest investments. I worked with Bob for several years then I decided to open my own office. I have grown over the years, became more familiar with the sales and purchase a few properties for investments. I continue to grow and would like to pursue a law degree in real estate, as an investment for myself as I continue to learn. Eventually, I would like to open several offices and possibly franchise opportunities.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc–but we’ve spoken with enough people to know Read More..
